Today i was taking my grandpa for lunch and he was sulking about the street lights being on . Apparently in the town they come from , there is a power shut down every day for two to three hours.
He was cursing all about how electricity is wasted while the farmers dont ve electricity .
He made me call the corporation besant nagar division and inform them that the lights were on.

If he had not been with me i would not have done something like that . I said to myself that its time to wake up.

I am going to try being a more responsible citizen.

i used to be a vivid blogger but my frequency reduced and i am planning to start again.

yesterday i read a lot of my posts and yeah i realised it feels good to blog.

today li and i spent our evening together. :) after a long time , we didnt fight :D :D

n i think chennai is becoming mini banglore. traffic is bad now adays.

i got 21g at anna university :) time evening 4:45pm

took the last corner seat :D as always n started my ride towards thambaram to meet my best friend sai from college.

for 4 years i ve gone to crescent in that route in PTC. and i was traveling in the same route, it bot back so many memories.

1. the route was v v v developed. pallavaram n chormpet are like mini anna nagar n adyar.

2. saw vetri theater.

3. my hair was always messed up coz of the wind that was blowing on my face and i forgot it until i had the same experience today :)

4. the conductors have electronic ticket vending machine. i miss those old yellow colour, green colour, pink colour tickets.

5. the traveling time has reduced a lot coz of the new bridge. :D

6. airport looks as lively as ever.

reached thambaram at 5:15 pm. :)

Met sai.... man! missed her so much... we talked n talked n talked...
got the best hug from her!
i was telling her something abt how ppl drift apart or how misunderstandings happen among frndz and she said"machi... nothing shld happen btw us like that... we shld be together always". Promise di.. we will be nagging each other till we both die. i promise.

i updated her on so many things n she updated me. bt wht the hell :D we both were in touch all the while...

i missed calling rowdy , when i was leaving thambaram i called her, it seems she was also in thambaram. too bad i missed meeting her.. then all the 3 of us cld ve had some fun.

neways i am planning to visit blore in the second week of april to spend time with the gals.

i left thambaram at 7:20 reached home at 8. see how fast it is!

the ride and the evening today was a v pleasent one bringing back too many memories.

I got out of the meeting room with a big grin on my face, it went really well and I got the contract which I wanted. In that office a handsome guy looks at me grinning like NH4 and smiles at me back , walks with me out of the office, offers to open the lift door and surprisingly travels with me in the lift to the car park. ( cupid, cupid where are you, cut the power. make us have a long conversation and *patak* next min we are in love , happily ever after ; *thud* lift reaches the basement) he wishes me good day and off he goes.*Ahem* kuduthu vachathu avalo than.

Get in the car and curse myself for the 30 minz drive back home but when I switch on the radio, I find its "Rajini special hour". I hear *Balelaka Balelaka* and with full josh I go step on the accelerator. *Zoooom* signals are all green. * enna mayamo theriyala , enna magico theriyala* no traffic too. song changes to *Aare aare aare song* first signal I get caught is the Teynampet signal, another santro with a bunch of guys stops to my right.

When the signals turns green, I start racing the car with a bunch of guys in it. If they went ahead of me, they would slow down to catch up with me and I did the same. Sema jolly!

* Song- nan autokaran autokaran* The guys turned right at Adyar, and then i reduced my speed and missed a signal , the policeman stops me. I lowered my window and pleaded that cop "Sir, Please sir! theriyama vanthuten sir" and to my surprise he lets me go with a warning. :) * I love u pulaiyarappa*

Reached home at 2, & I realise I am v hungry , to my amazingly amma has biriyani ready for me. What a day!!!! . * Song on tv - appadi podu podu podu* , Anu calls with tickets for 4:15 show at satyam. *aioo aioo* seri vidu kilambuvom

So this is what happens when I get lucky. which is very rare!

When Ashok entered the house, his wife Aarthi was fuming with anger. Ashok's evening coffee reflected Aarthi's mood - too bitter. While he was drinking coffee, she started "That couple in out next apartment are too loud, always giggling and laughing. Dont they have sense", Ashok smiled and said " They are newly wedded couple , let them enjoy. What is your problem with that Aarthi? you do your work da kannamma."

Their next apartment was occupied by a newly wedded couple Sheray and Ravzi.Both had taken off for a week at office and were spending time at home. Aarthi married to Ashok for 7 years , had a son who goes to play school. The whole day Aarthi heard Sheray's and Ravzi's giggling, laughing and teasing and inturn Aarthi was bursting at her husband and son making all their life's miserable.

The next day, during lunch , Ashok was telling about his wife's irritation towards that couple to his manager. His manager smiled and told Ashok to take 1/2 day leave and go home. Ashok then realised and took half day permission and went home.

Sheray and Ravzi heard Ashok's and Aarthi's giggles and laughters the whole evening .

But, what will happen if there is a sports village in every district - minister's son and MLA's brother-in-law , Bureaucrat's cousin sister and Rich Businessman's niece will be admitted and allowed.

Bribery and Adultery will be in every sport equipment and sports event/ training session conducted.

But all this will not happen, if there is one good leader for our country. Lets try getting a good leader atleast on this Aug 15th.

today some small boy( who was in the bus) wanting to give some money to that person, threw the coins from the bus to the person which fell on the road. there is my car in between the bus and that crippled person.

experience 1 :

a small boy aged around 7 comes back from school. he lives with his parents in a small town in south tamilnadu.

arun walks back home thinking about a bicycle his friend was riding the last evening. he was going to the temple with his father and saw his neighbor kid murugan learning ride the cycle. Arun's father noted the small boys yearn for the cycle.

when arun reached and to his joy found a new bicycle for him.

his father seeing his son's desire had fulfilled the same.

experience 2:

The chubby girl, aarthi, from city rides back home in her school van and was waiting to reach home because she knew her grandfather could have got her the cycle she had requested.

she saw the cycle even from the corner of the street. and jumped from her van with so much happiness to try her hands on her cycle.

when she reached her home, she went joyously to her dad to announce her new cycle. Inturn he gave the cycle to the girls cousin who is of the same age.

Aarthi who was just 9 then had her first heartbreak and since then has not touched any cycle.

experience 1 - sometime in 1988
experience 2 - sometime in 1990

i wil never forget these two stories...

About the book :

Its a story of a man called Amir .

Through out the book , I cried !

It has a strong impact on you. The reason, you are able to relate to him a lot. He is not the ideal hero, thou he is the HERO of the book!

He is just one of us who is ashamed of his inability, who wants to be in the good books of his father, who hides the truth , lie to his friend .... So much of real self .

In my perspective , this book is about friendship.

The friendship of Khamir and Baba , the friendship between Ali and Baba and the friendship between Amir and Hasan.

Amir , could have helped Sohrab even he had not been his half brother's son. He could have done it cause of his debt to his friend Hassan.

I lived with the author. I am comfortable with the first person style of the book, the main reason I wept reading the book!

A must have in the library !
A must read to learn about friendship!

Kudos to the author.

It says the book is being made into movie . Lets wait to watch it.

well, there is a shopping center called Citi Center in Chennai n it hosts the Life Style store.

I have been to Life Style and Citi Center like unempt times , today was different. While coming back from LIBA my brother asked me to pick him up. I went to the Men's section in LifeStyle and wow! :) too many eye candies... My brother asked me to help him pick a few shirts for him and went inside the trail room :D waiting in front of the trail room was much more fun! lol... no... its not what u think... stop.. shut up! :D

Vazhga oli... next time... gals... try it... go shopping with your brother!

Some pictures u smile truly... the joy is everywhere... the sounds of laughter is still heard... u really wish u get back to that place and that minute then!

The funny thing is till 2003, i used to think, I look like a stupid when i smile n when anyone asks me to smile for a snap, i snort :)

I have tons of pictures like that. :)

But later i realised, otherwise.

Post 2003, I have so many beautifully painted picture where I am laughing / smiling heartily.

I wish i could smile like then , now!

i am in the first yr of LIBA and i know a guy called #$% in the final yr liba.

now he doesnt know my name or anything abt me. all he knows about me is - this gal is a liba student.

i know his name some 2 yrs back - while he was in his 1st yr ( dont ask me how - VV Long story)

PRESENT :

this semester when i saw him - like 3 months ago, i wanted to confirm his name. he was paying in the canteen counter and i picked my mobile( which was switched off) and spoke " hi #$%" he turned. - :D , with this i confirmed that his name is #$%.

ever since then... whenever i see him - i pick my fone and go on " hey #$%" " #$% , enna pannre" some crap :D ( note: balance illatha mobile , charge illatha mobile - ippadi ella fone laiyum i talk fonea a on pannamaiye i will talk )

have u ever noticed that you touch ur tummy after you finish your pinch of walk in the tread mill?

if you see a mirror, you check yourself if you are ok by smiling at it, we never frown n check how we look...

when u r in the shower and u touch the wrong soap... we are always able to identify that its not our soap! :) we get so used to the feel / shape of our soap...

:) we first look for mails from our near ones... even there is an important mail, we read the loved ones mail first.

even if we believe in horoscope or not. we see a small listing abt how our day is going to be according to our sun sign we will definitely read it and after reading for us we will read our loved ones sun sign!

all of us would ve tried the "FLAMES" game... if u dont know wht it is... after i explain u will definitely tell try it. ;)

invariably ( if u had enjoyed the period or not) when we cross our school/college with someone we know.. we point out our school/college n talk abt it.

i dont know for others... :) but if i am hungry[ i am hungry always; i mean like sometime in the none] and i look at my watch, the time will be 12 noon.the internal clock is fixed for each of us.

noticing it - u will realise , u wil be able to recognize ur mother's bangle sound, sisters anklet sound, dad's scent , brothers bike sound at any time how much ever u r concentrating on ur work.

something which i think, we ve become so accustomed with we never give it a second thot! u add to it.
